Conner Prairie

Last Sunday we spent the afternoon at Conner Prairie with our Pearson Relatives. It was great to spend an entire day and evening with Uncle Craig, Aunt Debbie, Uncle Jeff and cousins Matthew and David.
It was a wonderful afternoon of exploring Indiana history.

Both girls enjoyed spinning the challenge wheel and seeking to complete their tasks (they were both gardeners and needed to complete 4 activities to earn their gardening Sticker)

Lillian loved riding on the end of the buggy to get from exhibit to exhibit.
Stopping to play a game outside the Doctors house.
Don't you just love how Lillian is holding her sticks :)
Almost a catch...
Lillian had quite the throw and caught on quickly to the game.
Playing with the townsfolk. It was fun to watch the girls learn and try something new.
On to another game... outdoor ping pong
Then off to the bakers house... Lillian the Littlest Chef
Pumping water in the garden to water the flowers and vegetables (one of the 4 tasks to complete to earn her sticker)
Madison stopping in the kitchen
She even helped make a pie
Along the way there was another game. Thanks cousin David for showing the girls what to do
Madison was great!
The hoop to height ratio is a bit off
Our very own Pioneers
They even had a wheel barrel that was Lillian's size. " See Mama, I can help too"
Testing out the chalk boards at the school. She is ready for school to begin.
Madison is an animal lover at heart. There does not seem to be an animal that does not her (and her them). Here she is having a discussion with the goat.
Apparently Madison was convincing enough to get the goat to stay for a picture
Crossing the covered bridge to the Civil war exhibit.
Barrels on fun we had last Sunday

A quick game of checkers and a rest in the shade.
Before we crossed the bridge to return to the cars
But not before we made a final stop back at the barn to visit the animals just one more time (the girls had already been there when they first arrived).
Madison was lucky enough to hold the baby lamb. The lamb loved it and cuddled close.
Just 17 days old, this baby girl was a real cutie.
The unspoken request.... if we can't get a dog can we have a lamb :)
Even Cooper was excited to meet the lamb.
Cowgirl Lillian riding off to her next adventure
Sparkles Away!
Then a final snack before heading off to the next adventure.
I love how they share snacks
Cooper loves his Lillian
Taking a bit for himself
Then back to sharing
Deciding who will get the last one
Oh Lillian!
