After attending church together as a family at John Knox Presbyterian church, we returned home for a family lunch (thanks for joining us to celebrate Clay, Larissa and Nana).
Our not so traditional (but quite yummy) meal included: BBQ pork sandwiches, home-made Hawaiian bread, cole slaw, fruit salad, and potato chips.
The kids enjoyed the treats in their Easter Baskets
Lillian's enthusiasm and excitement were beyond words. (Her facial expressions say it all)
A new Grammie Doll
A raincoat and matching pink shirts
Yes- Max and Ruby socks
and an Egg flashlight
Meanwhile, off in the yard Cooper sat patiently with his eggs waiting for someone to bring him his basket and to come play with him
With her monkey basket in hand, Lillian set out to find some Easter eggs
Of course, she had to check the mailbox first, the flag was up
Reaching inside
Pulling out the egg
And checking to make sure that what was in the egg, she liked
Madi was a bit more subdued in her egg hunting but she has almost 10 years experience :)
Slow and steady, finds the eggs
Yum chocolate
Cooper enjoyed his Easter basket goodies- especially his new police car. Cooper and Nana had a great time playing in the grass together.
Still hunting for eggs
Look at that mischievous grin... she's up to something
Off to the club house to check for eggs
Mommy joined Nana and Cooper while the girls finished their hunt
Oh sleepy boy, Cooper was ready for his afternoon nap
The girls managed to find all 159 eggs in record time (and none were forgotten).
Looking forward to next year when 3 Sparkles will hunt for eggs...
